CLINICAL OPERATION AND LAYOUT OBSERVATIONS
Selected clinics were observed during the last week of March, 2018. Below is a summary of the findings for Building A, Building B, and a total of five clinics within those buildings. Click on the clinic name below for details.

Natural Light Though daylight can be seen from the elevator lobby toward the Eye Clinic, no natural light is available in any part of the clinic.
Corridors Corridors are too narrow. They are 5'-2" in most of suite and 6'-2" at Uro/Gyn procedure rooms.
Layout ​ Tight ganged seating in waiting room. Planters used to segregate waiting from corridor and elevator lobby.

General Faculty and all Residents are at Glassrock Building. First years see six patients/day, and fourth years see ten patients per day.

Empty registration space now used for provider dictation. Ideally this space would be used for some revenue generating activity.

Finishes Interiors appear dated to time of construction in '90s. Cool palette finishes (pink multi with teal and purple accents). Lighting creates 'cloudy day' effect, with fluorescent 2x4 lights predominating - no accent or warm lighting effects. Primary flooring is VCT in exam areas, carpet in waiting and offices with topset rubber base. Doors are SC wood veneer with SS kickplates.

Provider-Centric Model There is a long travel distance for care staff.
