Teri approaches health planning from a business perspective coupled with a clinical nursing background from a variety of settings, including nursing homes, orthopedics, medical / surgical units, bone marrow transplant, and adult and pediatric intensive care units. Her experience provides the ability to integrate the needs of the client with the expertise of the consultants and architects. Teri’s background includes facility utilization planning, financial feasibility and cost analysis, operations analysis, and program planning with hospitals, and freestanding clinics.
Andrea is the Director of Healthcare Analytics for NBBJ, joining the Los Angeles Team in 2014. Andrea has been part of many projects throughout the south land, including the new Westwood Patient Tower Addition at UCLA, Loma Linda University Medical Center, and the Wasserman Building at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. Andrea uses data and analytics to understand the needs of today; to plan for the needs of the future; and to create a solid foundation for growth. NBBJ's Healthcare Data Analytics Team one of the things that makes NBBJ a leader in healthcare design.
With 28 years of healthcare design experience, Suzanne has developed a diversified portfolio of healthcare projects ranging from complex academic replacement hospitals to rural health clinics. She also brings a broader perspective to her work through past experience with commercial and corporate design and senior project management for a large academic medical center. Suzanne is committed to the principle that thoughtful, evidence-based design can improve quality of life and support wellness and healing.

Medical Planner
Designer / Planner
Colin is an Architect with experience designing complex healthcare, science, education and mixed-use projects. He is involved in all phases of project delivery from design documentation and management through construction. He has completed urban design and coordination for state of the art healthcare, science and education projects across the country and around the world. His passion is to create environments that connect to the surrounding community and foster collaboration, interactivity and well-being.
Doug has more than 30 years of leadership in planning specialty retail and healthcare environments, with more than 10 years being devoted to Lean leadership and improving healthcare operations. Doug provides workshop facilitation, lean education and medical planning for healthcare organizations practicing integrated care and facility design. He is a Certified Lean Leader with training from Virginia Mason Medical Center and Shingijutsu Global in Japan. He co-authored and implemented a lean design methodology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle using 3P (Production-Preparation-Process) and Integrated Project Delivery principles.
Melissa
Alexander
Melissa combines her skills in design and data by synthesizing analytics into 3-D facility visualization and planning. Her abilities craft strategies into visual stories help make the project come to life. Melissa also leads the creation of the Website delivery platform—the future home of the UC Davis Ambulatory Master Plan. She is a Digital Practice Leader at NBBJ where she focuses on the integration of insights from urban scale data and analysis to inform design across all scales.
